Funding Strategies
At UniHealth Foundation, we have three distinct funding strategies.
Population & Community Health
UniHealth supports programs that address current health needs and promote ongoing wellness and prevention among populations and communities, with a special focus on the underserved and vulnerable. Our priorities in this area are to empower people to engage in positive health behaviors and make informed decisions, especially with regard to appropriate use of healthcare services; alleviate the social and economic circumstances that can prevent people from reaching and maintaining positive health outcomes; encourage strategies and partnerships across community sectors to address health disparities; and enhance quality of life and reduce the impact of disease by fostering healthy environments.
Healthcare Delivery Systems
We support healthcare delivery systems in their efforts to improve population health outcomes by providing cost-effective, patient-centered, high-quality care. Our priorities in this area are to enhance the organizational capacity and financial stability of nonprofit hospitals and healthcare organizations; increase access to comprehensive, coordinated care across the healthcare continuum; effect higher patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes; streamline operations for value and risk-based reimbursements; and promote the use of technology, data, and scientific advances to attain high standards of care and health outcomes.
Healthcare Workforce
UniHealth seeks to respond to the needs of today’s healthcare workforce, including new categories of providers and multi-disciplinary teams. Our priorities in this area include the development of a healthcare workforce of sufficient size, diversity, and quality to meet the nation’s evolving healthcare needs; encouraging and empowering medical practitioners working in underserved communities; evaluate factors impacting industry workforce development as a whole; and promoting the training and retention of culturally competent clinical staff.
If the program for which you seek funding falls into one of these priority areas, we welcome you to learn more about our Application Process.
