The Application Process
UniHealth Foundation requires all grant applicants to participate in a four-step process:
Inquiry Stage | 4 months
Your Eligibility Quiz can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed internally. Once reviewed, the Foundation’s program staff will reach out via e-mail with a determination of your eligibility. If you are determined eligible, you will be invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). LOIs are reviewed on a quarterly basis.
Application Stage | 3 Months
After the LOI review process, you will be notified if you have been selected to submit a full proposal. The proposed project will be considered on a docket approximately six months from the point of invitation. You will receive detailed information by e-mail on how to submit your proposal, including grant proposal guidelines and due dates.
Review Stage | 3 Months
Once your proposal is received there will be a review period during which the Foundation’s program staff will reach out to you to discuss the proposal, ask questions regarding the project, and gather further information. If the proposal is complete and determined to be in alignment with UniHealth’s mission, it will be presented it at a quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors for review. Please note that grant proposals are a request for funding and not a guarantee of an award.
Finalizing Stage | 6 weeks
Once a grant proposal is approved by the Board of Directors, an award agreement is sent for review and signature by both the Foundation and the grantee. The agreement includes the funding level, the grant term dates, the reporting requirements, and contact information. Once executed by both parties, the funds are released.
